The Intermediate Squad

The intermediate squad covers a broad skill base. It is for newer rowers who want to continue to develop technique as well as for those experienced rowers who are wanting a more relaxed training program or are unable to commit to the senior squad. Intermediate rowers are eligible for University Games crew selections and are free to participate in local regattas in boats of their choice (subject to equipment availability). For those training in the Winter Season, there are opportunities to enter in the Winter Time Trial series. Intermediate rowers are also able to take boats out without a coach, provided there is an experienced rower in the crew. Training is conducted throughout the year on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
